3. How do I get published?
By sending your manuscript to us to consider for publication. After assessment, acceptance and publication you become an author, published by HEBN Publishers Plc.
4. In what format should I submit the manuscript?
Manuscript should be typed using Microsoft Word or Adobe Pagemaker 6.5 on 100/250 MB zip disk or flash. It may also be typed on A4 size paper, double spacing (hard copy) on one side only. And you may submit both.
5. Where do I send my manuscript?
Manuscript should be sent in an email attachment and addressed to the General Manager (Publishing) at info@hebnpublishers.com
6. What happens to my manuscript after submission?
A letter of acknowledgement is sent to you; when the assessment report is ready, the management of the company will inform you if the manuscript is publishable or not.
7. How long will the publication of the book take?
The publication of a book should normally take 9 months; however, depending on the page extent, books are produced between 4 and 9 months.
8. What other options are available besides author/publisher basis?
The option depends on the type and nature of the manuscript. These are (a) Author/Publisher (7.5% to 15%); (b) Cost of production and profit are shared by author(s) and publisher on an agreed ratio; and (c) Cash and carry or contract publishing - here the author(s) pays to have the book published; he collects all the copies after production. Publisher may assist in marketing and distribution.
9. When do I sign a contract agreement?
As soon as HEBN Publishers decides to publish, a memorandum of agreement is drawn and sent to the author for signature and counter signature.
10. How and when do I get paid my royalty?
Royalties are normally paid twice annually, however other arrangements are possible - three months after January - June, July - December account period.
