Our Management

Mr. Ayo Ojeniyi, B.Sc., MBA – Vice Chairman/Chief Executive
An accomplished publisher, he attended the Universities of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University) and Ibadan. He has also attended various local and overseas courses in Publishing and Management. He joined the company in July 1976 as Editor-in-Training.


Chief N. O. Okereke, B.Sc., MBA – Managing Director
Chief Okereke attended the Universities of Nigeria (Nsukka) and Ibadan. He joined the company in August 1981 and is a Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Management and member Nigerian Institute of Marketing. He is also Vice-President Nigerian Publishers Association (NPA).


Mrs. Olawepo Afueri Sogo, B.Ed (English), MA (Communication Arts), MA (Publishing) – Director (Operations)
Mrs. Olawepo Afueri Sogo was educated at St. Louis Secondary School, Ondo and Universities of Benin, Ibadan and Oxford Brookes, UK. She joined the company in 1986 as an Assistant Editor. She is widely travelled and has attended several courses locally and abroad.


Mr. Lawrence Oarhe Agge, B.Sc., M.Ed., MCA – General Manager (Special Duties)
Mr. Lawrence O. Agge was educated at Sacred Heart Seminary, Akure; School of Agriculture, Akure; and Universities of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University) and Ibadan. He was a Senior Editor at Ilesanmi Press, Ilesa until November 1981, when he joined the company as a Field Editor. He is a member of the Nigerian Institute of Management.


Mrs. Oludolapo Kukoyi, ACA – General Manager (Internal Audit)
She is a chartered accountant with accounting experience which spans through the public, manufacturing, insurance trading and leasing sectors of the economy. She graduated from the Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro and attended several training programmes, seminars and workshops, especially in Information Technology within and outside the country.


Mallam S.J. Aliyu, B.Sc – Acting General Manager (Sales and Marketing)
He was educated at the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. He was an Information Officer with the old Sokoto State Ministry of Education and later Head of Department, Social Sciences, at the State College of Arts and Science also in Sokoto. He joined the company in 1981 as an Assistant Editor, and rose through the ranks to the position of Ag. General Manager (Sales and Marketing). He is a member of the Nigerian Institute of Management.


Mr. S.O. Ajani, INTER ACCA, AIAB – Acting General Manager (Warehouse & Distribution)
He started his accounting career with Messrs Spencer Thirlwell Alalade & Co, (Chartered Accountants) and has worked in manufacturing, contracting, public and publishing concerns in the last thirty years. He joined the company in 1990 as an Assistant Accountant and has risen to the post of Acting General Manager (Warehouse and Distribution). He has attended various local courses in Management and Accounting.


Mr. Dejo Fadeyibi, B.Sc., MILR – Deputy General Manager (Tertiary Sales)
He attended Universities of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University) and Ibadan. After a brief teaching career with Oyo and Osun State Teaching Service Commissions and Michael Imoudu National Institute for Labour Studies Ilorin, he joined the company in August 1999 as Human Resources Manager and rose to the position of Deputy General Manager (Tertiary Sales) in February 2010. He is a member of Nigerian Institute of Personnel Management.


Mr. J. O. Akanbi, BA(Ed), MCA, MPCS – Deputy General Manager (Publishing)
He attended the University of Ilorin and graduated with B.A. (Ed). He has a Master’s degree in Communication and Language Arts and another Master’s degree in Publishing and Copyright Studies, both from the University of Ibadan. He obtained a Certificate in Publishing Management from the Kwame Nkruma University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, Ghana. He has also attended professional courses at home and abroad. Mr. Akanbi joined the company in 1 November 1990 as Assistant Editor and has risen to the postion of Deputy General Manager (Publishing).


Mr. Olu Ayoola, B.A – Assistant General Manager (Marketing)
Mr. Olu Ayoola attended Oyo State College of Education and the University of Lagos. He was a Yoruba teacher at the defunct Government Teachers’ College, Lagos before he joined the company as an Educational Representative in 1985. He rose through the ranks to become Assistant General Manager (Marketing).
